Financial Buyer/Strategic Buyer

Financial Buyer/Strategic Buyer

Strategic buyer: A company buying an asset; as opposed to a financial buyer. In fact, in both cases, it is a company buying the asset. But the idea is that a strategic buyer is running an existing/proper company and buys this asset for strategic reasons. A financial buyer buys the asset only for financial reasons, i.e. make money.
