Baiterek means the tree of life; it reflects one of the universal mythological conceptions of the world. Through its location and compositional structure monument “Astana - Baiterek” expresses cosmogonic perceptions of ancient nomads. Huge wings of Saint Bird Samruk close the sky while she is flying. She is destined for Baiterek, for the tree of life, to lay Golden egg – the Sun, which gives life and hope. And at the roots hungry dragon Aidakhar is waiting for his time, calling for the night to change to day and winter to change summer.
