March 1, 2016, marked the first ever celebration of Gratitude Day in Kazakhstan. This new holiday, the Day of Gratitude, was created so that people of all ethnicities and backgrounds in Kazakhstan could express their thanks and gratefulness to one another for the years of tolerance and inter-ethnic peace.
