This is one of our classic tours, covering the central and southern parts of Mongolia. During this tour, you could witness and experience the highlighting species of flora and fauna such as inhabitation of Przewalski wild horses, relics of Gobi dinosaurs, duties of domestic animals, in particular camels, and the irresistible smell of wild vegetations growing in different natural zones.

The rules for Sumo are simple and the winner is the one who first drives his(/her) opponent out of the dohyo (straw bales that form the ring) or forces him(/her) to touch part of his body other than the soles of his feet to the ground. The match is decided in a matter of seconds. A good Sumo wrestler respects their opponent, and whether victorious or defeated, they leave the dohyo with honor for a bout well-played. Determination of the winner is clear and easy for the spectators to follow. However, with 88 acknowledged moves including throwing, twisting, and bending techniques, one never knows what will be employed to succeed.

The main religion of Mongolia is the tantric Buddhism ( Vajrayana) of Tibetan lineage (Gelugpa). The links between the Mongolian Buddhism and the Tibetan Buddhism are very ancient, and very narrow. In 16th century, Helatan Khan, who tried to unify the various branches of the Mongol people, got closer to Tibetans and created Dalai Lama's title (Ocean of Wisdom), still used today.

Landlocked Mongolia is located between Russia to the north and China to the south, deep within the interior of eastern Asia far from any ocean. The country has a marked continental climate, with long cold winters and short cool-to-hot summers. Its remarkable variety of scenery consists largely of upland steppes, semideserts, and deserts, although in the west and north forested high mountain ranges alternate with lake-dotted basins.

Hot tea and a streaming bowl of soup are offered as freely as saying “Hello” as are invitations to stay for a while at a herder’s ger, or even an urban family’s apartment. 

2006 was the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian nation by Chinggis Khaan. Although the finer detail's of Genghis Khan's life are not fully known, his birthplace is thought to be at Dadal Sum, an attractive wooded area in North-west Hentii region. The area contains trails and lakes for visitors as well as a museum where you can learn why this fierce warrior and great leader is still revered today. 

Mongolian goats are well suited for extreme weather making their wool both adaptable and beautiful.

Although a lot of people think of a desert as a lot of sand, the Mongolian Gobi Desert has a lot of vegetation, along with vast steppes, and it’s home to a lot of camel herders.
