Please apply to Rutgers-New Brunswick by December 1. All students admitted to the participating schools at Rutgers-New Brunswick will be considered for an invitation to the Honors College and for competitive scholarship packages.

As part of the Honors College mission to develop service-minded "innovation citizens," a minimum of 30 hours of approved service work is required in the first three years.

The Honors College draws on faculty and fellows from across the university to teach, mentor, advise, and enrich the day-to-day experience of Honors College students, who interact with them in class, the fireside lounge, the field, or the lab.

Students receive career-related counseling, resources, and programs to help them clarify academic and career goals, establish career plans, develop networking skills, and make successful career and graduate school transitions. 

The Honors College is a place where uncommon things happen—where the engineering, dance, biology, business, and English honors students live and work together to tackle complex problems and global issues.

Our curriculum redefines interdisciplinary education by inviting students from across the liberal arts and professional schools to live and learn together to tackle complex problems and global challenges.

The Honors College Capstone Showcase is the annual, signature venue for students graduating as Honors College Scholars to present their Capstone work, the culminating academic experience for all Honors College Scholars.

Dr. Matt Matsuda is an award-winning scholar and educator and has been a member of the Rutgers History Department since 1993.
