Macroeconomics is a branch of the economics field that studies how the aggregate economy behaves. In macroeconomics, a variety of economy-wide phenomena is thoroughly examined such as, inflation, price levels, rate of growth, national income, gross domestic product and changes in unemployment. 

The 10-year Treasury note is a loan you make to the U.S. government. It is one of the U.S. Treasury bills, notes and bonds, and it's the only one that matures in a decade.  The 10-year Treasury note rate is the yield or rate of return, you get for investing in this note. The yield is important because it is the benchmark that guides other intereste rates. The major exception is adjustable rate mortgages, which follow the fed funds rate.

A front month is used in futures trading to refer to the contract month with an expiration date closest to the current date, which is often in the same month. In other words, this would be the shortest duration contract that could be purchased in the future market. Contracts that are a month or more behind the front month contracts are referred to as back month contracts.

The Standard & Poor's 500, often abbreviated as the S&P 500, or just the S&P, is an American stock market index based on the market capitilizations of 500 large companies having common stock listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ. The S&P 500 index components and their weightings are determined by S&P DOW JONES Indices.

What is a 'Currency Pair' A currency pair is the quotation and pricing structure of the currencies traded in the forex market; the value of a currency is a rate and is determined by its comparison to another currency.
